Pumpkin house

I already have a pumpkin house from a previous Halloween but have a different question for folks. Has anyone thought about crafting the grand pumpkin and not completing the quest for the pumpkin house? Just curious since I think that the grand pumpkin by itself would make a cool addition to my Springfield.

It's great to hear I've got some more time.
And to the person before me, while this is my first Halloween event, if they'd do the same next year I might leave the grand pumpkin as it is, like you're considering. It's your choice. A similar event might, however, activate next year because you didn't complete the pumpkin event this year, so you're going to have to be cautious then.
This is my first pumpkin house so I'm definitely going to complete it this year.
