Question for long time players about donuts

I've managed to come up on 64 donuts since the start of whacking day and am wondering if there's really a chance of saving for some of the more expensive items or if I should just go with Bumblebee man. I'd be fine with Dr Nick but he's still 26 donuts out.

Probably 75-100 from leveling up and cleaning up trash, plus the free donuts they give out on random events/holidays. I didn't include the bonus level donuts, because at level 27 for instance, before the 20% increase on XP started, I hit the bonus level 50-60 times. I had a ton of in game cash though, so I bought and sold weather stations over and over , ended up with enough free donuts to get the Rich Texan and a
Hot tub for free basically. It's a lot harder to do that now with the 20% increase everytime you level up, and I don't forsee many ways in the future to get free donuts, but if you're at 64 now, an you level up 3-4 times before level 31, and then a few times on level 31, you can probably get enough for Dr. Nick.
