Random Tasks?
you can ignore them if you wish. If your character has noting else to do then the game will pay extra cash and XP for doing what they ask.

You will always get a random task pop up, it's very rare not to have at least one especially when you have completed all your tasks in any questline.
During one questline yesterday I had three random tasks pop up, Milhouse fly the kite, grandpa telling war stories and Fat Tony digging a problem.
