But in order to "clear" the hovering icons on the SH shops, you need to craft items, so there's a related beneficial action. The same with the hovering icons on upgradable SH buildings - clearing the icon requires and action that brings a "benefit". But the hovering icon on the Red Blazer Realty building doesn't act like any other hovering icon that I'm aware of - clearing it doesn't actually bring any advantage in terms of pay-out, crafting or upgrading.
  • Noticed that too. Acts more like the finger pointing to the task bar during bonus donuts. Tracking RE$ perhaps?

  • The building works like a task. It merely tracks your progress and gives you a notice (the icon) when you've gotten closer to your next reward.
The icon only comes out when you receive estate points.
  • The icon is an indicator you made progress on that task line. (Earning $)

Much like the dog over SF Downs, it isn't really necessary, I agree.
