Release older buildings for newer players!
Well, many of the items were limited time or tied to episodes, so it wouldn't make sense to release them again. They have released some old items here and there so you never know though.

You're getting confused. Your initial point was that if they make money off of re-releasing old content, that will lead to them spending the profit on creating "more" content updates. My point is, if they start making more money without creating more content, there is less, not more, motivation to create "more" content updates. I am not saying they will completely stop creating content, but that they would have no reason to accelerate when they can just sit back and generate profit off of previously created items.
