- I dunno, could do with more crafting materials. Not got enough trees to put them to good use.

I know we always panic and think that an event will be unachieveable, but this one took a 180 much quicker than expected. How'd I go from dying for resources 3 days ago to a glut now???
Happens every event... people freak out thinking there's not enough time or resources. And every event, there is.- I agree that usually we have more than enough crafting materials but every once in a while there will be an event where you are really squeezed. Case in point: Tapball. Some people found the glitch and were able to have unlimited crafting but most of us did not. As a result I had to really deliberate on what to craft (I ended up forgoing stadium fences altogether) and I still ended up with a really chintzy stadium because I could only afford a couple of stands.
What is interesting to me is how often EA seems to have to adjust payouts in events; don't get me wrong, it's great that they (usually) fix things but it's weird that they don't seem to plan in advance how much people will collect. Maybe they are so busy getting everything ready they don't have time to use a calculator and figure that they can always change it later. - someonewashereRising Novice

what was the glitch??? everyone talks about it but i dont remember it.
anyways there was the christmas event last year.... the crafting prizes changed in act II and people freaked.
I crafted what i needed so i was like whatevs, when it came back i was able to craft some doubles which was nice, point is it's a big difference between change and change. stinkbugger wrote:
Yeah, I almost was going to ask people what they are crafting multiples of. I guess it depends on how they decorate,
Should I get a zillion Walk of Fame Stars just in case I someday need them?
Well, here's my walk of fame.

Which of the casino games would be the best place to get resources? I'm quite behind, but I do have lots of tokens saved up
It seems form other people's experiments that the games generally seem to pay out the same in the longrun. Butttt.... For some reason I have been having crazy luck with homers house of cards. I'm getting crafting goods almost every time for the last few days! I don't get as much from moes or Cletus, so I keep going to homers until my luck runs out.
I could be wrong but I feel like EA has definitely made the odds higher of getting crafting materials in act 3 because I've been getting wayyy more.Oatmeal832 wrote:

I honestly don't think it matters. Everyone's tried to figure out a pattern/advantage and I don't think one exists. Just keep tapping/playing and it'll all work out!
BTW, I hope this thread doesn't look like I'm "gloating" that I'm so far ahead when I know not everyone is in the same position. I'm a pretty hardcore player - I don't speed with donuts but I go on the game many, many times a day, so I'm gonna keep the crunching moving.
Anyway, I don't want this to be a "look at me" thread - I ran it because I really don't recall ever going from famine to feast as quickly as I did with this event!
Thanks very much for the info! Going to use my tokens on the slot machine because it's the least time consuming (I don't care much for the chip prizes). :)Muhsterino wrote:
Your brain may have processed it like that, but mine did not. There was a third option that some of us decided on, which was to keep back all crafting materials until act 3, then upgrade and craft towards the end of the event when you can see which materials to upgrade with. The information that LPN provided about the gaming tokens suggested that they would be around for the whole event and used for all the games and this has proved to be correct. Also game tokens have been available to buy in the store too. I like the fact that they try out different game styles. It would be quite boring if they used the same gameplay every event.
I decided on that at the end of act 1 as well. I don't mind variety in events either but this wait until the end while a third to half the event has one concerned that the system is designed against them is not good design in my opinion. I only now with about one week left in the even have sufficient materials to be able to get almost a 100% list of what I can make and still have enough materials to do the level up part so that I can have at least one of everything. For simplicity I could probably have the max per item prior to the no cap at level 3. But I don't know how many of certain things I'm going to want. With the level up requirement I think it puts the working out the math for numbers of each materials needed for what a little to far. In a nut shell they can offer nice variety to keep things interesting without making one part of it so annoying.- I crafted all of the main items ASAP. No problems leveling up and now I have a crap ton of crafting resources. I think I'm going to be stocking my inventory with trees, lights and walk of fame stars. I still wish we'd been able to craft walls or multiples of a structure like that. Crafting fifty walls or fences makes more sense to me than crafting fifty spotlights.
- Let's not complain about that. I'd rather an easier event where I don't have to be glued to the phone then one where I have to nanny it.
The difficulty level on this one was just perfect for those who actually have lives outside the game. The developers did an excellent job with this event. Hopefully they keep that ball rolling with upcoming events.
