I'm a new poster and no one has been rude to me.
I think what frustrates people who have been on this site for months are the very repetitive questions - answers to which are in Page 1 on the forum in the FAQ section. Then there's the numerous newly created "add me" threads, or people who loosely discuss something banal with an "add me" at the end of their post. There are plenty of add me threads - I read them and found "friends" that way.
In other words, if a new poster spends a few moments reading through the basics and how the forum operates, I doubt anyone would be rude ever. Does it excuse the rude behavior? Maybe not, but I can certainly empathize with those seeing the same items over and over when each is addressed on the first page.
