- I expected it to be removed, but I thought it looked really good while it lasted. I'd be happy having it back again.

Same! :-o- I didn't even notice it was gone.
I did like the higher contrast though. The comic book styling was the best part of that event. I even appreciated the white border around the edge of the screen simulating a comic book cel. And the music. Well done, Gracie art designers! - I especially liked the way the large-shrubs looked in the comic book mode. The darker shadows beneath them made the horizontal "joints" a lot less obvious. They didn't look so blocky during the event. Especially in one spot where I have them stacked/3D they were looking really cool in the comic book mode.
