EXACTLY THE SAME THING !!! I had just done a microscopic search through my town, my tree had just done its automatic thingamajig with the doohickey timer thing, and nobody had visited my town. I released the elves immediately, and they not only came back with 27 gift cards, but TEN gift BAGS. I was sure it was a glitch in the game. I expected them to spot one or two ... But NEVER that many!!!

I went through all of my slums and put out the lights to test this theory tomorrow

Can the elves find spin tokens? I know spin tokens appear in some gifts (havent received any yet), but if the elves are used does it eliminate the opportunity?

That rocks! I just thought I was lazy and missed packages.... Then they keep coming, so I tried to follow an elf and it was zig zagging around obstacles so much, I gave up.

I just picked through the neighborhood like never before, then deployed the new elves. Wow! Too many gift cards to count, and 3 New gift bags! Next time I'll make note of my starting amount of gift cards...

Well, it can't be two or three per house. I have lights on 41 houses, did my search, and then sent the elves on a run. The elves just "found" 64 gift cards that I hadn't found ...

So if there IS a relationship to house lights, it's only one per house ... And the other 23 gift cards were from boxes I didn't see before their run.

I don't have any decorated houses except the Simpson's house, and they find cards everywhere.
I, a few times, noticed presents fall directly onto houses and buildings and when i went to check behind them, ghosted them, and moved them there is no present to be found. But the elves find them.
