It might be random, but it seems very routine when I get mine. Not sure if I have the patience to track how often I get donuts. But I've received them 3 times.
Same for me and my wife. About every 2.5 months. I've not counted the pops.
I'll ask Bunny (addicts) if she got the 300 pops thing out of the files. And if so, is it still there.
