It's cool, but looks too basic. I wonder what the approximate assembly time is...5 minutes?
Actually, if the box is real and not just a prototype, it says there are 2500 pieces, which is fairly substantial. Also, look at the inset pic in the upper right corner of the box: the entire house folds out to reveal the interior. It's much more complicated than it looks at first glance.- Looking at other licensed Lego sets of similar size, it seems the $150-$300 price tag is accurate (and probably on the low side). Man, I love the Simpsons and I like Legos, but there's no way I can see paying that kind of money for this. Especially since I know one day my kids will cannibalize the bricks to make, like, a barn for their My Little Ponies or something. Just like the ancient Romans stole stones from the Colosseum to build Ye Olde Roman Brothel or whatever.
Edited to add: I love that EA' s filtering software asterisks out Saint but not brothel. - 2500+ pieces? that would take me about 30-45 minutes to put together. I have an already rather large Star Wars Lego collection that is still growing, but would stop growing just to get this stuff. I have had Legos since I was a young boy and at 30 I still collect what I can. Legos are one of the very few things I keep around from my childhood.
Also, is that a gun in Maggie's hand? - Just remember guys, this is a very large lego set, and a good bit of the cost of this will go to licenses.
As such, I'm estimating this will be $250, and $5 per extra mini fig you want (such as Apu).
I still want it though...I need help.
EDIT: Looks like I was wrong! Only $200 and Mini Figs will be cheaper. YAY :D - So is Maggie holding an Uzi or a cordless drill?
- I posted a thread about this in the Off Topic section
- Is that nuclear waste in front of the car?

I was wondering the same thing, only more generic as in "gun". Oh oh! To shoot Burns!
Why does Lego come in "make this thing" sets instead of more creative "ton of bricks-make whatever you want" sets anymore?
Are children less creative? I'm just sayin'
