Objectively better? No. It isn't.
I played the Family Guy game for a month or so and disliked the formula so much I didn't just stop playing it I deleted it from my iPad. You prefer their way, that's fine, but claiming it is objectively better is just silly. - smohqy11 years agoNew SpectatorHere's my 1/50th of a dollar:
Most of the people complaining about the prizes have been playing for at least one previous Christmas event. I started in February of this year, and it's nice to earn things like house skins; however, the 'this or this', or even the 'this, this or this' prize options are even worse for some of the new players. I obviously didn't have blue house Xmas lights, so that's what I got. If I were a house farmer with scads of blue houses, it would've been a decent prize. But I really wanted the broken wheel instead. Now with so many multiple option prizes on each day, I fear that I'll just get the most basic one each time. So to every long time player who is complaining about already having most of the prizes, at least you already have them at all.
Regardless, I'm still enjoying this event. wildcat2k wrote:
All past prizes, legitimate stuff like buildings and such, should be available for donuts for newer players. That way they're there if they want them and everyone can still get new stuff during the event itself.
But to make the game have longevity, it helps if there is still good stuff for new players to win.
The pool of long term players can only ever get smaller, and so the newer players have to be offered the same kind of incentives that the original players were in order to entice them to play for a long time too.- 4junk300011 years agoNew SpectatorYep everything sucks.
Be sure to quit playing in protest! That will teach them!

I agree. While I still play FG it isn't better. It'sway too expensive for starters, it is impossible to get all the prizes even as a premium player unless you play all the time (I know cuz I tried being a premium player), and I hate that they continuously have events cuz I can't get the time to unlock characters. And while we are on the topic the business of building a building then spending weeks trying to get the stuff for a character is dumb. I hate it.
Agree.
You pretty much need a small fortun to enjoy that game- yes, they release tons of stuff- for cash, and from what I understand if your well off enough to buy that constant flow of stuff- there is no where to put it. I freemium that game and have no room- and all we've got for a land expansion is 4 plots...... So, if you think all EA wants is your money- try playing family guy for a bit - Maybe I'm a half glass/full glass type of person, but so far... as a long time player, at least I haven't spent my donuts for lights for the house decos. That is a win even if some of the prizes are not up to par for a lot of players. This makes me happy :)

The Christmas event of FGQFS has John McClane. Voiced.
You may not like the gameplay (which in many ways is more enjoyable) but there's no question the content is better.- Since I have been playing from almost the start I am getting the smaller prizes. I would have liked new stuff but hoping phase two is better. I just wish they gave you 2 of the decorations now I have an odd number of nutcrackers etc, and I like things to match.
