So disapointed

Hello EA.

Bought Chinnos and Hydrangea costing 400 donuts. And what did I get? The crappiest two quests that there can be. No character development that tells us what these characters are, no ties to exisiting characters but just some same old Mr. Burns villainy which is joke that does not carry its weight anymore. Why? Are you tired after ten years?
  • This is the dullest looking Gil deal I can remember (I'm basing that purely on the artwork, I haven't picked it up yet). But a lot of folks have been predicting the end of the game for a while now, so I'm happy with whatever new content is offered.
  • Im not impressed w the Gil deal (so I wont be buying this time) or much of the event prizes; but there are many prizes I do like.
    Much like every other event.

I think the game is still fun to play every day and ive been at it for 10yrs. If you dont like it anymore, just move on. No one ever wrote a letter to Parker Bros when they were bored w Monopoly; they just stopped playing. Expectations of people these days is just too entitled.
  • The consistency of events, one after another, all that goes into creating them, suggests the game is healthy and has many more years. Part of the excitement of the game is if you'll like the upcoming content. You never know what it will be. What year was the Wicca Holiday event? That was disappointing to me and others absolutely loved it.

Most of the items in this event don't excite me, I'll pass on the Gil deal because I don't need one more thing to clog up my storage. But, most of the content event after event is still really great.
  • Yes, programming content and testing it seems to have slacked off in recent years. But it beats no new content at all. If you were here during the time when we all feared the game was done, you might have more appreciation for the little bit we're offered, even with its glitchiness and unthorough gameplay testing. So try not to let it bother you TOO much. Having anything new at all is a blessing at this point. The days of waiting and wondering were very sad and stressful.

Focus more on your town designing, than on the gameplay that they offer us now. I do miss the days when each event was unique. Yes, its definitely the minimum offered now, being the same 4-hr routine every time; but it IS better than nothing at all.
  • Luckily not using real cash? Once you hit a level comfortable with donuts, you would feel quite indifferent to purchases using donuts.
  • No, I did not use real cash but still. There might be someone who does and gets garbage. That's not what you expect in games.

One game the developers said that they stop developing the game because they run out of ideas and that the game will be removed from google-games. After an outrage they decided to keep it there but adding a greeting screen for new players that the game is not developed anymore. I find that very satisfying solution. New players know that there is an end to that game. How comforting that is.
  • OK. In the main quest Krusty wanted sleeping gas an Dr. Nick gave it to him and had part in the quest for 4hr job. But when Krusty wanted more Dr. Nick gave it but without partisipating in. This is what I hate.

Mrs. Scratchy had the dating quest and none of her dating parters had jobs to date her. Why? I hate it when a quest implies that the quester does something with another character and then if you have that character it does not partisipate in the quest. This is lazy writing.

And then there's the bench job problem with new characters. I'm sure that someone whined to EA that he had town full and yet another character needed a bench. So EA decided that bench jobbers can sit on top of each orther. I HATE THAT! It means even when I do have enough benches to go the new characters still don't use vacant bench but the nearest and sit on top of another character. So, I'm forced to give the new characters bench jobs before the old ones and just hope that the new ones don't sit on top of each other. Crazy.
