Given that Conan O'Brien is a former Simpson's writer, I'd say a Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda tie-in is far more likely. ;)

A lot of updates come on Thursday, L.A. Time, so no update now means nothing. OP is just being a little exciteable. Bless him.

And, no, we don't generally get hints the day before, not from EA, anyway. They have teased things, occasionally, but usually they go for the surprise update.

I doubt there will be a Gil sale until after the current sale ends. I cant see them being so generous as to not only offer some rereleased items but a sale on the donuts needed for them too.. That might be expecting a bit too much from EA.

This reminds me a lot of the end of the world predictors. Get all crazy that xx date will be the end, but then once that date passes they move on to the next date.. Sure eventually someone might guess right but what good is that when you predict the same thing each day?

They did do something similar though in the Easter event, when they made the more valuable gold eggs available for purchase late in the event for the same price as the less valuable blue and pink eggs had been offered for earlier.

I actually think the end of the yard sale would be a smart time for a donut sale, as a lot of players have already bought all or some items at full price, but those who didn't buy everything or are undecided whether to buy anything could be tempted to buy as well by the discount offer.

That's great, guys, except the 2013 yard sale went from the 16th of May to the 29th of May. The discounted donuts Gil sale was active from the 24th of May to the 28th of May, so right at the end of the Yard Sale. Fancy that!

Now, that's not saying there definitely will be a Gil donut sale, but there is a precedent.
