A friend of mine's future sister-in-law Facebooked a pic with the Capitol and captions that read "America Needs God!" Just a point of clarification. It's not actually a law that passed, the Supreme Court doesn't have that power. In short form - what happened was the Court said that laws banning same sex marriage are unconstitutional and therefore stricken down. Interestingly enough (to me anyway), a dissenting opinion was not against same sex marriage, but rather that the question was not one of Constitutional Law, and was therefore not a Supreme Court issue (paraphrased). While this Supreme Court has made some seriously poor decisions in my opinion (the ignorance of the law one should be grounds for dismissal of any justice that voted for it), I was glad to see they took this mantle and used it to uphold some of our basic founding concepts.
