Questlines
Some quest lines have a kill date that you have to start before, I'm sure LPN will post if any of the mentioned quests have a time restriction on them.

Probably to give him something to do during the down time. I do the same usually. I have yet to buy Frank Grimes because this update hit right after I finished the freemium quests of Level 51.

Some people do it b/c they already have other stuff with those charectors taking priority..... Other than that, I dont know

2 reasons. The first is what Direwolf said. Its nice to have something to do, after the event finishes. The second, and primary reason, is that I want all my characters earning event currency for crafting.
