I'm just shy of the 2billion mark. I kinda got lucky in that when i stored some of the buildings, they reverted back to level 1. So i had to re-upgrade them all again. Which helped me get to the higher numbers with out thousands of polo fields.
I imagine you weren't so happy back when you first discovered they reverted to level 1 :)
