Squidport tiles- What am I doing wrong

What people are also missing is besides being able to get 3 handshakes every 24 hours, the tiles are also paying big XP dividends. From my 10 or so friends who have tiles out I have been getting between 575 and 900 XPs per handshake. What I do not get is that I have people visiting that either do not hit my tile or they hit it only once. Maybe they remember that early glitch when you did not want to hit a tile because it would remove it from your friend.
