Squidport tiles- What am I doing wrong

I know I have some that aren't on the forum (if they are they either only lurk or popped on to just add folks during an event and I added them in a moment of weakness), so if I lucked out and was visiting when they had a tile, crop, open air stage performer, etc...floating I would tap them and keep it every time I visited and one was available. A couple actually figured it out and started returning the favor, so maybe try that. I think the last few that aren't tapping these things actually may be kids so I am not expecting them to know about it. Good luck, I hope someone starts tapping that tile for you!

You cant judge your neighbors based on the actions of a few people and I dont think your neighbors are really that bad :-)
Maybe they dont read the forums but I'll send you an invite and be one of the few that either click on your tile or PM you what the problem might be :-)

I've been on board with the tile tapping a couple of weeks and have only a small percentage of friends (maybe 8-10 out of about 50) that regularly tap.

I've seen a number that put a sign up or spell out "tile" or "tap" with hedges in their landing zones. I've done the same, and that seems to help.

It is the person going into their own town that allows for more than one hand shake to accumulate. Even if all of your 100 friends tap the tile three times you will only get one handshake unless you are going in and out of your own town. That's why you see people setting up tile buddies and feeder towns like during WD.

If you get a notification that a friend visited you, log in. You don't have to do anything but that will reset your tile so you can accumulate another handshake. It's up to you as much as it's up to you're friends.

Wait, what? We can get extra tiles by neighbors tapping on our tiles? Why is there not a 131 page thread regarding this so we can ask questions?

I have over 50 friends and only seems to get a few tiles each day. I tap their tiles in return as well if i see one available.

That is incorrect. While you may be able to tap the tile 3 times and get experience, your neighbor only gets one handshake if you do it the way in which you describe.

The ONLY way your friend will get all three tiles is if they are in their town in between the times you are tapping their tiles. It's next to impossible to give/receive all 3 unless you use feeder towns or have a tile buddy and coordinate with them.

If you visit friends town, tap tile go back to friends list or kl. while you are out they have to go into their town then they can go to kl or friends list while you back into their town and tap tile for 2nd time and you return to friends list. Then they go back into their town exit again and you return tapping tile for third time. When they return to their town they will have three handshakes above tile, channel 6 or farm. Both people have to be in sync or you won't get the 3. The whole point of going to friends list or kl is to force game to sync.


I repeat... BOTH people have to be going in and out of the town at roughly the same time for this to work.

I could only get a maximumof 2 handshaked, don't know why.

Wonder if some people can't get any?

Hmm Guess I should check the forums more often.. last I remember if you clicked someones tile they didnt get one.. So Ive been avoiding them.. :oops:
