Squidport Water Abnormality with 2 Photos

EDIT: I logged back in, and it was still there. I was about to snap a better pic, where it showed exactly how far the water went (it went straight out to sea, then turned and ran parallel with the existing water, with a dead strip separating the two lines of water) and I accidentally turned the game off instead. ***Now it's gone after logging in again.

I have noticed this a few months back. Not sure what it's about. Could be a glitch of some sort.

I had a whale behind the oil rig and stored it for the shot. When I logged back in, without the whale, the mystery water was gone. Placed the whale back out. Now, the mystery water is back. Coincidence?

You can't really tell in the picture but was it just water or was it also a little bit of dry land as well?

That little blue bit at the bottom makes me think the strip of blue beyond the mountains just the outer boundary of the game- the absolute boundary, rather than future expansion boundaries...but by this logic they might be able to give us maybe another strip or two of water, so at least we could theoretically get an expansion to the SP that some have been clamoring for.

More water tiles would be very nice.

I don't think this means anything much though. I think you are just seeing the edge of the (drawn) map.

Edit: By the way I can see the edge too if I scroll far enough in my town when I view it on a device-that-is-not-to-be-named-on-these-forums.
