Staggering Your Tile Tapping

ambug666 wrote:
I haven't seen this discussed anywhere, but I also haven't gone through pages and pages of tile tapping threads.

Let's say I tap on Friend X's squidport tile at 9am and then at noon and then at 3pm. Common sense would say that used up the three taps of the day and I wouldn't be able to tap again until 3pm the next day.

But preliminary testing seems to indicate that the 24 hour clock sets at the first of the three taps, 9am, not the third, so I could tap at 3pm and then tap again at 9am the next day.

Can anyone else confirm?

Yep That how it Worke 4 me 2.
  • Check, check, check. That isn't new, it's "always" been that way. In full disclosure, I've only been here a month or so, so my "always" is pretty short lived.
  • Same here Mark! I discovered it during Halloween; I would leave a Springfield if there weren't 3 "fresh" buildings to haunt. I noticed when I came back later to finish the job, the clock would be set at my first tap time. Very convenient.

Same for me. It counts from the first time I enter my neighbors Springfield and re-sets accordingly. I assume it's always been this way, as I've only been doing the neighbor thing since Halloween.

Yup it has always been like this..its a good thing :)

Resets after first tap, ok now give me 995 donuts, thx.

I seriously hope your next post isn't spamming that you want 994 donuts.
  • Also, any action in a friend's town will reset the timer during events. So capturing a Whacking Day snake or tapping a ghost would restart the countdown even if you didn't collect rent from any buildings on that visit.
