Strange sound situation....

Volume is already quite low. Device volume is at 40%. Same level it's always been at before this started happening since the redwood update. Here is the sound uploaded so you can hear it. I've heard that noise before. It usually signifies that a requirement for certain quests or a task is completed (it only happens with certain things, though, if I am remembering correctly). Or that an item that is required has been placed. Is it possible that you were doing a quest line or a task for something before the noise started occurring? Is there anything in your task book?

It is also possible that a glitch in your game is causing the noise (if the above isn't the case). Maybe a bad download? But those are just guesses. Try an uninstall and reinstall to see if it corrects it.

Other than those things - no idea. You might have to contact EA to see if they can figure out what's going on.

Unfortunately the link was the only way to provide the sound since the forum doesn't have a way to attach anything. If there is some other way to have the sound here for reference I can update the post. The only thing that has changed in my task book is the beginning of the redwood quest. Lisa talked and it is waiting for me do the initial tasks to begin the quest. Everything else has been there since before the last long haul of events we had. All of them are just at the very first part of the quest awaiting me to assign tasks.

There is a serious bug in the sound driver for this game. It crashes on my iPhone regularly. I've reported this to EA with very specific steps to reproduce it easily. They either have their worst programmers working on this issue or they just don't care. I could fix this problem in 2 days MAX!

None of the active tasks are in the completed stage when the sound is happening. They are as follows: frankie the politician pt 2 character tasks in progress, girl next cell over pt 1 waiting for me to buy the building, springfield heights pt 10 waiting for me to unlock agency, taxes hold em pt 6 waiting for me to upgrade irw to level 2, and the new quest world's most overdue burial waiting for me to buy the item to place for it. all the earlier quests have been there from the day they were added to the game and only some time after the redwood update has it been making this sound. Previous there was only the game music that occurred the moment i was in my town.
