Strategies, tactics, the community go getter

They've got a huge "countdown" clock (for lack of a better word) that you can view when you press the trophy icon in the game or the group icon (an icon with a picture of a bunch of Simpsons characters). The clock, so to speak, shows you how well "we," the tapped out community, are doing. Below the countdown clock, you can view a silhouette of the possible prizes we can win, if we reach the community goals. They didn't set up milestones, so there's no way of telling when we actually receive each item. We are just privy to the cumulative count. It's pretty exciting to see.
  • Sounds fantastic....I'm still around 16hrs away from seeing it. I would rush but I have less than 100 donuts and after seeing the premium list I'd rather wait but seriously the waiting kills lol
  • Wait to spend your donuts. There's a lot of new stuff. A LOT! I thought I would be disappointed, because everybody was saying they would just bring back the old stuff I got last year, but it's not like that. EA went all out for old and new players. They have the old stuff for new players. And, they are giving out A LOT of new great stuff for in-game cash (in other words, for free). Keep your donuts and get the stuff you want. I sped up my gypsy house to start, but you don't have to worry, because a lot of people are at the same stage right now. Just wait for your friends to build their gypsy house. It's easier that Whacking Day also. Just have fun. EA did us well with this one.
  • is it wise to leave all non-halloween characters (e.g. character who is not involved in the event) roaming around or on outdoor tasks so they can get possessed?
If this works and you get goo from un-possessing them, then that would be a good strategy.

    p.s. i LOVE Halloween!!!

I never even thought of that! I plan to leave mine wander around now. 8)
  • I don't think they can be possessed during jobs. A ghost stood by my rich cowboy for like an entire minute. Even after he had a thumbs up on his head. He didn't possess him. I think possession is reserved for those not otherwise engaged.

I have had several characters possessed whilst they are doing outdoor jobs!

You're totally right. I've spent a little more time with my updated town and I just saw the phenomenon myself. Comic Book Guy was on a 12 hr task and he was simultaneously possessed. I was wrong about this.
  • Also theres a glitch with luigi being possessed. If you use the vacume on him he wont un possess. He just keeps dropping goo and gremlins over and over. Try it out.
