Suggestions? What Premium items should I get/avoid?

Thanks, bee. Yeah, I'm wondering about everything. There are so many things to choose from and I am obviously not one who has to have every single thing/character. Certain things I've wanted for a while, like Duffman and the brewery. But is have read on forums people saying certain things are great or others don't waste the doughnuts. Just trying to get tips from all the really experienced players. I'm such a cheapskate, I don't want to waste doughnuts!
