Perhaps if it happens it will be linked to eggs.The less eggs you have left in inventory the more donuts you get.This would be a cool way to reward the players who are team players and to punish those who are stingy &/or lazy.Just a thought. Idk.

So, is this info actually in the files? Because I seriously doubt EA would give us that many donuts! On occasion they give us 12 or so. And that's awesome, but its never enough to buy something decent. I just don't believe it! Having said that, I do hope I'm wrong. :P

The bit in red in my original post was/is in the raw files. The rest, such as my theory on the conditions for being awarded these bonus donuts, is pure speculation. I may be right, I may be wrong. Who knows, maybe they were intending to award us this many donuts, then decided not to. Maybe this thread will even become a self-fulfilling prophecy? Time will tell.

It's all about converting non-paying players into paying players. Even 250 donuts isn't that many, really, what is it, a couple of buildings with characters? If they give people a taste of donuts, they're more likely to get addicted, and start to buy more donuts.

I was thinking about all of this and came up with an idea...maybe the donuts will be distributed through a game similar to the bonus rounds (pick one of 5 boxes or something).
