F you or anybody you know

Honestly, this is where I stopped reading. You may want to edit that "F" to *IF*.

I'm not a computer expert but I don't think the amount of storage room you have on a device makes a difference on how well your game runs. I think it has to do with the computer processor.

I have a 8 month old mini Samsung tablet that is just horrible to play TSTO on. It crashes constantly. However, my iPhone 4, which is maybe 2+ years old, plays TSTO much better. My mini tablet has much more memory than my phone.

i had the exact same set up. TSTO was the only thing on the tablet and it was crap. updated to the Iphone 6 and with some help from people on the board it flies. when you upgrade that 4 you will be very happy.

I'm sure I will. My fiances' iPhone 5 is almost faster than my tablet.

The processor is definitely important (games definitely run better on devices with good processors), but storage also plays a role because some games/apps require a certain amount of memory to be available to run the game/app. If there is not enough, it can slow the game or cause it to crash.

Edit: my text option says normal, but it is teeny... Baffled by this...

And now it is fixed. Baffled again...

I figured someone who knew what they were talking about would chime in. Thanks
  • There seem to be two different issues being blamed on the same thing. First lets go with the easy one. No room for the update. With 16GB on a tablet and no pics or music and only 4 or 5 games you should have tons of free space for more data to be stored. Even if you have say a dozen games 16GB should be more than enough. Now for the not so easy one. Cycling through your neighbors and getting kicked off, I assume you mean disconnected from the server and not the game crashing. This would have nothing to do with your devices RAM (aka memory) and needing more of it. In fact the only way that may help (and I can't even say this with certainty) would be with towns were scrolling is bogged down. My reason for doubt is that the bogged down could also be CPU (aka processor) related. I believe on most tablets the GFX and CPU are both on the same chip. If it were a PC I would also being considering the GFX card as a potential contributor. Bottom line, I know you say your post is a rant, if you were hoping for help to solve your issue more detailed info will be needed.

EA servers also could be playing a role. Should have added that with my last reply. Bad wi-fi connections can also be the culprit.

Edit: definitely agree with Raven - more info is definitely needed in order to figure out the problem. There are many possibilities.
(Please note: I am not an expert - I have learned what I know from a combination of experience, knowing people who deal with tech issues, and conversations about troubleshooting).

Edit 2: why does auto correct hate me?
