Perhaps the idea is to give players time to rest between periods of excitement.
People complain their isn't enough time between events to organize their towns, well now you have some time.

Perhaps the idea is to give players time to rest between periods of excitement.

- This seems to be suggesting there's a pace for the game which is "just right".
But because there's so many different types of players, there's actually several "just rights" and it's impossible for EA to provide them all.
For every player thinking it takes too long, there's a player glad it's as long as it is because they had just enough time. And there's also a player wishing for another day or two so they can make it to the end.
Hopefully some day you'll realize that the pace is what it is, and it's our job to confirm to IT, rather than wish for it to be custom-tailored to our individual preferences.
