Tapping invaders
I always hope for castles, of course. Otherwise, I don't tend to care. Unless I can get multiple castles or I'm in a hurry, I try to tap just one building per town, to decrease my chances of getting boned by the Krustyland glitch.

- I go for the castles, and if those are under attack already I'll move on to the character houses then the whites, blues, purples, pinks, and browns in that order.
I'm not a greedy player or a snob, I'll attack anything even if it's futile. Just because the payout to me is small doesn't meant it's not much to the neighbor or random victim- they need gold and elixir too and I'm so far ahead of the daily schedule I can afford to do the low-gain attacks - For a while I was tapping the first thing that popped up on any given (random) town, then moving on.
Now I'm focusing on houses (shorter attack time and intentional non-defenders usually still defend castles), and I usually do 5 attacks per town. Mostly I do this to unload the nerds more quickly. I got all the prizes, so I'm just stockpiling now. - I try for the castles and then attack whatever house is nearest. Some towns I attack more than once.
- I go for castles first. Other than that I'm not too picky and just do what's quickest. I do like to go for Wiggim's or Flanders houses if I can, just for fun, but I don't spend much time looking for them. Large house farms are nice too.
- Like everyone else, castles first then usually whatever is closest. I don't follow any particular routine, sometimes I only do one attack per town, other times 5.

after that, if the town has a large house farm, I'll tap on houses near the border in hopes that they wont be noticed. Otherwise I go for the Gingerbread House and Pumpkin House, just cause they are different. - I solely go for castles only the payout is better than houses. If they get destroyed before the town owner defends it :D
- I'm a lazy tapper when it comes to this update, i try for castles but if the game doesnt take me straight to them then i tape whatever i see 1st and move on to the next town
- I love it that people are having fun with the event playing it so differently. I am experimenting with different strategies just to see what the payout gives per strategy. I've got all the prizes, so not defending houses. See my posts for strategies.
