- I think I'm gonna pass on them.
- They do make a sound, although not much of one, if you tap on them the lights flash and you get a sound like an alarm setting, not a massive animation but it's there.
- I splurged and bought the Gold one , I just wanted a car that everyone wont have , and the Gold one looks great . Im glad I passed on buying the Islands for donuts. Back to saving donuts !

I was wondering this as well. After the island fiasco I am cautious to jump on buying anything new that is put out. 8)
I bought all three, one of each, to start out.
But in regards to the island fiasco, you do realize that EA refunded the 120 donuts, or 90, or 30, whatever it may have been that you spent of the limited time islands before we received them for free, right? You did have to take the time to contact them, through chat or call, but if you said you wanted your donuts back, they refunded them. I am pretty sure this was mentioned in several other threads, but I also have been really busy with work and not on here as much lately.- I like the addition of more cars in Springfield, even with being able to use them on the roads. I have an entire parking lot area for my entertainment district, around downtown with the Coliseum and Stadium. The lot looks so much better with a variety of vehicles. I can only use so many Devil's Donut's Carts and Chalmer's _onda's.
I have the Duff Blimp, Christmas Can tree, and a couple of Duff Party Buses down there. So I like the red car with those other items. I like the blue car with the Peanut Carts, and then the yellow adds more variety.
But I also had just purchased Christmas Gil donuts and don't mind spending them at all. If you are saving, then I would not recommend buying all, probably just the one with the highest multiplier.
Oh yeah, and I do have the slight animation and sound effect. But I thought that one of the sound effects actually sounded like an electric car running to me. It was really low. I could have sworn that is what I heard, but I haven't read anyone else commenting on this. bradyc79 wrote:

I'm sorry but that statement is not accurate. I spent 120 on the islands and did not get my donuts back before they were gifted. I didn't contact EA for a refund for my own reasons. I don't want to open a whole new can of worms over the islandgate issue but what you stated didn't happen.Dexterslab32 wrote:

You only got the refund if you contacted EA. Which is what she said, but you cut off her post.glenjamin8 wrote:

Bit * that all 3 cost donuts and they can't give us a single one for free. Money, money, money.
They gave us the generator and Willie skin for free.
Honestly, they can't win. If it was backwards (cars free, Willie premium) they'd get 3x the complaints.
That skin is awful and no different to the bare chested one. The generator looks terrible and will be going straight into storage once all the tasks are finished. And quit embarrassing yourself by defending EA and their 'generosity'. Ever watched the South Park episode on freemium games?
No, I don't watch South Park. I wasn't saying EA was particularly "generous", but this game is clearly designed for them to make money. They give you free stuff to make you want the premium stuff. That's part of how it works - if you haven't figured that out, maybe you shouldn't play games like this.
And while I like the cars, a new decoration and skin are much nicer freebies than the cars.
The skin is noticeably different from the bare chested one, and I think the skin and generator look nice. His tasks are fun, too. Everyone has their own preferences. You won't love everything they release, so just take what you get, store what you don't like, and if you want something that's premium, pay for it or stop whining.- barryriddl474Seasoned NewcomerI bought several of each color. I love them. I only wish they could be turned in all 4 directions. I realize 360 degree rotation has been a hot subject lately, and I would be jumping for joy if this was applied to at least the vehicles.

Yes, thank you for defending me, I just now was online and reading this thread again. But I am a guy :-)
