The End of Tapped Out
It'll come in waves. First the updates will stop then the servers will be shut down. Hopefully they will allow us to continue to play in some sort of stand-alone mode.

If you want the game to continue, but donuts. That message is specifically for those that wear fremium as a badge of honor. There is no cheaper form of entertainment, and buying donuts extends the life of the game and the quality of the content.
