I had to log in to share this stupid mistake...somehow my donut confirmation got turned off (happens if you get tap happy, and inadvertently hit the 'don't show again' button in the confirmation windo...

Heh - yeah, that sounds about right. I installed the game some time in the fall of 2012 but didn't really play it until late May 2013. I attempted to start a few times but never went with it - can't remember why.
So on one hand, I kinda wish I'd never gotten so obsessed with the stupid game - and on the other, I kick myself for all the events I missed!
Actually, biggest regret is probably not starting just a few weeks earlier. When I see all the premium items that were free during Whacking Day, I kick myself. I don't mind missing the pre-May 2013 stuff as much, but to miss all that WD material by only a few weeks... ugh!
I know how you feel, I downloaded the game before EA took it off the App Store back in 2012 but didn't get into it until august last year, so I'm kind of annoyed that I missed out too.
