My pink planter count in inventory is still rising.

I get that all my trees stored as this one tree, but nothing really explains why the number keeps going up.


The most logical explanation is that I'm sleep tapping and buying enormous quantities of this cute little tree. But...my game isn't allowing me to store ANY trees right now, so if a sleep tapping tree buying spree was the explanation, those trees would be in my town. Not in inventory.

Is this happening to anyone else?

This is like a really bizarre version of the story of the loaves and the fishes, assuming the people at that time all wanted filet of Dover sole, and kept getting larger and larger numbers of sockeye salmon. ;)
