- I like that the event is "neighbor" friendly. Tend to get lazy about neighbor visits if there isn't some incentive beyond the possibility of a donut. Helping friends add to their medal count by lighting fires made me want to tap the entire list. Plus the sound of lighting up their houses is excellent.

I loved the Casino update. It was colorful, exciting and fun. The prizes were awesome.
This event is a disaster. 110 donuts for two outfits? Many people already have more Homer outfits than an adult man has teeth. Also, the prizes are bad: only ONE Building, one or two decorations, and like 5-10 outfits (Maybe I'm the only one who prefers Decs. and Buildings to outfits, That's just mine opinion).
What do you think about this horrible (my opinion) update?
I think you're incredibly wrong. That's what I think.- I voted that I like it. I can work on the mini-event and still have time to work on other things, both in the game and in RL. I especially like that I can help all of my neighbors with my visits.
- It's perfect timing for a mini-event, plus it's giving many players some things they have been requesting. I agree with others, what's not to like?
- Oh well, since JoshSheerer (if I remember the nick correctly) is gone from the forum (or I don't see him) someone had to take his place as the "Forum's Chief Pessimist" :D :D :D

Not everyone has been playing this game since it began. Most people on this forum seem to have been, but the majority of people who play this game haven't.
I keep saying this myself; but I think that those of us that have been playing for less than 2-3 years are in the minority here, unfortunately.
It's a shame that people who have been playing for so long and devoted so much time to this game could be so thoroughly (and repeatedly, if this forum is any indication) disappointed with pretty much everything EA has done with it in the past year or so. I have been reading about how much everyone hates crafting for a year now; yet, I - as a newer player - have never had an event that didn't involve crafting.
I guess this game used to be a lot better, eh folks? Enough to... say... garner your long-term loyalty, even when you're disappointed with the content? It must've been pretty great, is all I'm sayin'.
Yeah, it was greater than anything now. No crafting, all plain and simple.Simuks0803 wrote:

yeah, the 'good ole days' where we went weeks without any new updates/content; where we had a random prize wheel to give us the event rewards (who wants to gather their own crafting items and build what they want when you can let the wheel decide for you? ), and where freemium players felt like they hit the jackpot if they managed to hit double digits in donuts.
I'll take today's world any day... build what you want/as much as you can during events; and it's basically raining donuts like Homer's time-travel world. These are the good ole days, my friend. :mrgreen:josebot533 wrote:
But in the original episode (Crooks & Ladder) the firefighter group consisted of Homer, Apu, Moe, and Skinner.
It's okay. I agree though. Homer has way too many premium skins. They could've had Lou & Eddie; Chalmers & Willie; but they chose Homer again.- Keep it n perspective. It's not much different than a lvl update. Instead of just giving you the fire station you complete a storyline to unlock it. I think it's fun. And I love the fire animations.
