Awesome, Wade! - I like the traffic light idea. I have neighbors I'm pretty sure who don't visit me, but there isn't an easy way to check.
- Yes! I think I remember posting something either during Halloween or Christmas part 1 that we needed some sort of indicator to let us know when our neighbors had visited for the day. You pretty much summed up everything that was on that thread and then some! Lots of really great ideas. I just hope a dev sees this.
- I like that traffic light idea, I also had an idea this morning, how about making the countdown timers visible on neighbor's houses and businesses so when I go to a neighbor's SF with nothing tappable I can see how long it will be? and if it's a matter of the building being recently tapped by another neighbor have a separate icon or message for that?
edit: after reading again, I like most of your ideas (and if KL wasn't pretty dead I'd like all of them) - wadebearRetired HeroHere's a slightly improved image. I dressed up the Krustyland button:

These are are all great ideas, I like the traffic light one a lot. But the Krustyland button isn't needed because when you tap a neighbor's town if you tap where Krustyland is (so like a quarter of an inch higher than you would normally tap) it brings you straight there.
You're not grasping the issue. You're in a town, you've tapped your three things, you hit the next town button (the green arrows to the left and right of the player info rectangle in the upper left hand corner with their name), you enter the next town and... Scroll through entire town... Nothing to tap. So you want to go to their Krustyland to see if there's anything to tap there... Where's the blasted shuttle bus? Scroll, scroll, scroll... I don't see it! So you go back to the neighborhood (wait for load - which takes twice as long as going to the next town) then tap the Krustyland section (wait for load - which takes twice as long as going to the next town)...
A Krustyland button would eliminate the need to track down the Krustyland shuttle bus - or immediately show by its absence that they don't HAVE a Krustyland yet, saving valuable time.
I have a hundred friends to tap through. It takes me at least 45 minutes (usually an hour with crashes and disconnects) to tap through them all.
Worse: If you hit a neighbor's town and the timer hasn't reset yet - even if there's only a few seconds remaining - you have to leave their town and re-enter it to tap anything once the timer has counted down to zero. The longer I take to do my visits, the later my visits become each day.
Because of these delays my neighbor visits get later and later each day until I'm forced to just skip my neighbor visits entirely and start over the next day. Once you're maxed out your Friend Points each tap is a chance to win a donut (I got 3 today  ) so I'm missing my chances for donuts - and any other neighbor bonus like bells, aliens, etc - about once a week. marisasari541 wrote:
I totally get what you're saying I was just pointing out that there's a way to get to a person's krustyland without searching for the bus. If the less than ten seconds it takes to exit the town and reenter their krustyland is such a problem for you then fine.
The point is that it takes a lot longer than 10 seconds to exit the friend's town and enter Krustyland. And multiply that by how many times you have to do it, and it gets monotonous.
I like the Krustyland idea. I have just started working on my Krustyland, so I like to visit neighbour's Krustylands to get tickets. But sometimes they don't have anything to tap. And I can't just click through to the next neighbour's Krustyland like I can with their regular neighbourhood. So I either have to go back to the friend screen, wait for that to load, find the friend I was on, click their regular neighbourhood (or Krustyland, depending on which I had clicked initially), wait for that to load. Then after tapping, or not finding anything to tap, if I want to visit another Krustyland, I have to go back to the friend screen again, wait for that to load again, etc. It can really take a lot of extra time when you have a lot of friends to click through. Having a way to jump from Krustyland to Krustyland quickly (like from regular neighbourhood to regular neighbourhood) would be such a time saver.- Love it! Especially the idea of having an away message. I always feel a little bad when I have to delete someone for being inactive, because I don't know what's happening in their life to cause it. I would feel really bad if I had a family emergency or something, then I came back to find all my friends had deleted me.
- So what is the big deal with someone not visiting your town when there is no event on?? As long as my friends are active in their town I don't care if they visit my town. I get the same reward whether I have a hand shake or a dollar sign above my buildings. The only issue could be the additional cash and XP you get from cleaning graffiti, but that is minimal overall. I can totally agree when there is an event on and you need those visits to get event currency, but between events, it does not bother me if my friends don't visit.
Of course that changes when there are Friendship points at stake. - You've definitely got some really useful ideas!
I love the one that tells you when the person visited last most. I hate going through all my friends to see if they in fact quit a while back or just took a few day break. It's easy to check back until an event comes by. It would make life a lot easier!
