Sadly I have to agree here. I was even wondering why no such thread existed yet. This is probably the most disappointing update for me until now.

I wonder if they released it too early, not letting enough anticipation build. I also wonder how many people expect every event to be as good or better than the last, an impossibility of course.A new event just started in the Star Trek Timelines game, if you need a diversion. Coincidentally, also western themed.

I agree it's not very exciting. But honestly I always wondered why so many people around here thought you could get a whole event out of this. Just because something was a good episode doesn't necessarily mean it will make a good event.

why sit it out? It still gives you something to do with some unique items to unlock.

Casual viewer, not that knowledgeable on the whole Simpsons universe so I can't really gauge what are wanted event themes for this game.That being said, I've seen much talk on the forums about a Chili event and when it finally dropped I can see your point. It feels like a 'filler event' which appears to be lasting two weeks. This is completely fine for me; I like the prizes and premium items (bought the Steel Mill). Little questline attached with attainable decorations, buildings and what not. I enjoy it all.On the flipside, my limited knowledge leaves me satisfied here because I didn't set any expectations. For people who have been building this event up because they know what great potential it has, this could be a bit of a letdown.

This chili event is disappointing, to say the least.

What more were you expecting from an event based on a single episode? My only real complaints are the length of the event and the fact we get MORE premium cacti.

Some episodes are full of new stuff, such as the Stonecutters episode. It had a lot of different characters, usual characters in different clothes, different places. The chili episode just didn't have all that much new stuff in it.

I think it's pretty decent for a little mini event...not a fan of the big building, but I like the booths, the cactus, and the coyote.
Maybe you are just having one of those days Barry, you are generally pretty affable 8)
