By this time next year there will probably be a lot of newly promoted managers at EA. :(
No. Sadly, I fear by this time next year there will be a whole new batch of players to sucker with the frustrated folks having simply moved on.- So happy it isnt only me who is getting screwed with the spins. My wife and daughter both play and they have all the good stuff. So far I am missing Johnny Fiesta, Blocko Store, Shary Bobbins, Father Sean, The dude I the bunny suite, Chirpy Boy and Bart Jr. To top it off my wife is also getting 3 to 5 doughnuts daily for visiting friends and I have none.
I do however have 40 fences, 2 gates, 8 ponds, 4 egg piles and 2 beach towels along with Bannana Dictatorship. I failed at Christmas to get lucky spins and at Valentines so this is going to be my hatrick. - Marauder181Seasoned NewcomerI've been playing this game from the beginning and really think this may be the beginning of the end of not caring any more. EA sets an update that literally no person could actually finish. I've even bought 400 donuts worth of baskets and haven't gotten two of the gold box characters. This was a sad and pathetic money grub and nothing more.
- It's not like it would even be difficult to improve. If they replaced the "eggs" and basket prizes with donuts, there would only be a fraction of the complaints. And it's not like it would even be a lot of donuts. 500 eggs spent to have a chance at 1 donut (common box), 2 donuts (uncommon box), or 5 donuts (gold box)? It's not like it would break the in-game economy.
In such a scenario, I would be miffed that to this date I had still not gotten Sean and Sherry, but I would have 10 more donuts, and know that there was the chance for more.
Also, potential donut prizes for "other" items besides fences. I got 3 beach towels and 2 easter trees in my pink box before I finished it, and I've already gotten 5 egg piles and 5 easter ponds in my blue boxes...and the easter gates ought to count as 2 fences each. juliet603 wrote:
So today I had enough of my common blue eggs (2000) to exchange for 2 pink boxes, in my first pink box was..... 250 blue eggs! What a joke. So what was in my second pink box? 300 gold eggs... OK, there's some hope, I'll open the gold box..... 250 blue eggs!!!!
All that effort and all I did was wind up with a quarter of the amount of blue eggs I friggin started with
Why even have that as an option to win?!
2000 blue eggs became 500 blue eggs (not even enough to get another pink box) and I have nothing to show for it!
Be glad you have the prizes that convert to eggs. My main town literary has hugs bunny, Bart junior lizards and the bunny still. My other town has egg council guy and banana dictatorship.
So be glad you have those prizes.- I haven't really had a huge issue with the mechanics of the Easter event, but agree completely that the one thing EA totally dropped the ball on was making the replacement gold box prizes so ridiculous. To collect 2000 common color eggs without the benefit of baskets if you're still looking for the Faberge egg, to then hunt through neighbors' towns to find enough working baskets to exchange them for 1000 uncommon color eggs that yield enough gold eggs to open one gold box which gives you 1/8 the amount of common color eggs you started with. If nothing else, they should at least have given 500 blue or pink eggs so you could at least get another box out of it to win a different prize or start accumulating more gold eggs right away. I'm still looking for Hugs Bunny and Shari Bobbins, but won't be upset if I don't get them at this point - I'll just go lounge next to Mindy on one of my 14 towel and umbrella sets on the beach. :D
- Where is MusicBooks? This is an important rant! *Materializes out of thin air* Hullo, all! Did I miss anything important? Darn, it MusicBooks, this is more than important. This thread is about one of the biggest failures of the whole Easter event. How can you possibly be late to this thread? What impossible thing did you have to deal with to make it to THIS thread late? Zombies? Pirates? Ninjas? Dinosaurs? I told you yesterday. It was the aliens. Well, they were cool, since they didn't try to probe me or anything, but mostly it was getting to hang out with all those "dead" musicians. Let me tell you, when they start to jam, you don't want to leave. But you said the alien's time machine was working. How are you still late to this thread? I also said when they started to jam, I didn't want to leave. Okay, you giggling imbecile, stop messing with the space-time continuum and get in this thread. I resent that remark, I haven't giggled since at least a few threads ago. MusicBooks, pretty please with sugar on, just gripe about the freaking eggs some more, okay? Right, right. Like I said in that crazy long rant yesterday, EA is kicking...Don't you dare say it, MusicBooks! Fine, whatever. EA is stabbing us in the back with two steps forward, TWELVE steps back. It appears virtually everyone in this thread is tired of collecting the necessary amount of eggs to open boxes, only to have it backfire by giving us a smaller amount of different color eggs, whether or not we need them. And it's particularly annoying when they are essentially exchanging a relatively massive quantity of eggs for a minuscule amount of eggs of the same color. Wow, MusicBooks, those are some big words you're using. Should I be compelled to utilize even a diminutive portion of my rather extensive vocabulary, it is distinctly probable that a gigantic segment of the populace would not comprehend me. MusicBooks, what did you just say? Exactly. We're getting off topic here, MusicBooks. What do you think can be done about this ludicrous exchange of eggs for boxes for fewer eggs? Nothing. Really, nothing? Not a darn thing. I've started hoarding eggs again on the off chance EA decides to lower the odds on the prizes I haven't gotten. So you tried hoarding eggs before? Oh, yes. Did it do any good? Oh, no. Unless you consider a bunch of fugly decorations that I can't even sell, or at least store in Krustyland "good'. Do you actually think EA is going to lower the odds? Not bloody likely. If they do anything, it'll probably be to extend this lousy event. How does that make you feel, MusicBooks? *Flips over table and runs off screaming semi-coherent declarations on the stupidity of the Easter event*
- This is my biggest issue with the event as well. I don't love all of the prizes, but I guess whether you like something or not depends on your Springfield and your vision on what to do with 200 pastel fences. So, while I'd rather only get things that match my vision, I think that's a bit unrealistic. But I hate that I get eggs in the gold box. Totally unacceptable to me. I don't like that it's been weeks since I got a basket either but the eggs in the gold box just annoys me beyond anything else.
- The same happened to me today. I exchange my 1000 pink eggs into 500 blue eggs. I opened the blue box. Yeah...
300 golden eggs. I had 300 golden eggs. A golden box... The price... 250 blue eggs...
I'm happy, that the price was not 250 pink eggs.
This happened to me 7 times until yet... juliet603 wrote:

Story of my life with this event. That's probably happened to me a half dozen times now (I bought a bunch of eggs, regrettably, and it kept happening). I happened twice yesterday and I almost threw my Kindle out the window. I've said this before on other threads, but the common color eggs in the insanely-hard-to-obtain gold boxes is by far the WORST part of this event.
