I got my 100 donuts restored today. I used the support callback option and the rep sounded like he was reading from a script when he said that a fix had been implemented and that anyone with missing donuts was supposed to be passed through to their escalation team. I told him that I had lost my donuts prior to the fix, that I was active on this forum and that other people had already had their donuts restored - that it seemed like it just depended on who you talked to and that wasn't fair. He apologized for the inconsistent treatment, put me on hold for a few minutes and when he returned he asked me to log into my account...he had restored my donuts.
He sounded a little frazzled and agreed that he hoped the fix really corrected the problem...it seems like they've had it rough on the customer service side, too.
