TIP: BURNS' CASINO: Q & A AND STRATEGY THREAD: ACT II

Can somebody do one or both of the following for me please; provide me, through PM, with a Calendar for Act II alone; also, explain, again through PM (let's not clutter up the thread with my ineptitude), how to turn the Whole Event Calendar into an image, instead of a link. For some reason the and add-on doesn't work.

Calendar for the Whole Event:
I tried to just add the picture in, but for some reason that didn't work! So here's the link instead!!

  • Thanks for the replies! I finally have Apu on his 24 hour bleeding! I should of paid more attention to the quest line before today! I usually ALWAYS work on quests as soon as they come up too but this time I just didn't want to pull him out of the casino for that amount of time. I have 6 characters going so I do have Paris...no premiums tho. I've already got all the prizes this week...got them thurs eve and I've just been hoarding tokens until act 3. So it was just my greediness that made me overlook that part! Cuz when I think about it I'm only losing 6 tokens and 660 chips so no biggie. So just a smack to my head and a big D'OH....lesson learned...this time!

did some research on another site, all new casino tasks are(SPOILERS):

    freddie quimby 3h britannia casino
    selma 2h wedding chapell
    edna krabappel 6h woodstock casino
    dr hibbert 6h lucky casino
    kent brockman 10h safari casino
    lou 3h certain palace
    wolfcastle 16h some asian facility
mrs muntz 10h a colorful and feathery place

    Thanks for the info!

These are just regular in-game cash tasks right? Not event currency/chips?

only dollars/xp, but the buildings will be animated^^

I'm late to th conversation, what's this about exactly??

Characters with tasks at the new buildings to enable the animations. Irrelevant to the actual event (they're regular (permanent?) tasks that pay out $/xp), but good to see that the buildings are being used.

That's true!! I'm of the opinion that every building needs to have a permanent task that features an animation!! :)

I completely agree that every building needs to have a permanent task so that we can see their animation. I wish that all of these new tasks earned event currency, but I am not having any problem reaching the prizes, so it is not a huge deal.

Thanks for posting this full list. I sent Edna to Woodstock, but I can't see any difference in regards to animation. Has anyone else sent Hibbert on his 6 hr task? I love the animation for the Lucky Casino, it is bright!! Looks good with all of the other signs and such on the strip.

I haven't crafted or upgraded anything yet, so this is my understanding from what I have read in all the guides.
Once you get to crafting level 3, you can craft as many as you like of each item EXCEPT the 4 unique items, which are the cowgirl sign, spruce moose, Safari casino, dupes sign.
With crafting at level 3, the player points are still limited. As you didn't get any players points in act 1, I think you will be limited to the following amounts:
    ACT 2: 120+300+300+240+595=1555
    ACT 3: 120+240+480+240+480=1560
    Crafting items:
    Plant/tree: 10 for first 4 =80
    5 types fountain: 25 for first 4 =500
    2 types spotlight: 50 for first 4=400
fame star: 50 for first 8=400
Total from all the above: 4495.
    Unique items points: 120 + 120 + 480 + 480= 1200
    Grand total, excluding act 1 points = 4495 + 1200 = 5695
Another thought is that some of the premium items give player club points.
  • I thought I would do a 24 hour log of event items.
It was during a 15 hour time span, logging in often - no gap more than 5 hours, 6 characters on task at the casino for 4 times each, full 30 friends visits for chips. No gaming tokens were used during this time. Here are the results:
    Green chips - 8350
    Gaming tokens - 59
    Keychains - 7
    Coasters - 3
    Martinis - 8

This is taken from the recent update thread:

Game Tokens chance by tapping gamblers in own town raised from from 10% to 15%.

What is the drop rate for crafting materials from gamblers, Moe's slot machine, and the dice den? Any change on that?

  • The only item I have left in Level 2 crafting is the Spruce Moose. I've only earned 1 tier toward Level 3. Should I work on getting Level 3 and wait on the Spruce Moose, or the other way round? I'm worried I won't have enough time or materials to craft everything. :(

If you are willing to be patient, I would say to wait until well into act 3 to decide. That way you will be able to see what crafting materials you have and what materials can be used towards upgrades. Act 3 is slightly longer than act 2, by a couple of days, but it could make a difference. Also if you have a surplus of later crafting materials, you only need 20 show tickets or 25 martinis for each tier upgrade instead of 50 keychains or 40 coasters.

So you're basically saying save up everything & then decide, right? I could do that. :-) Thanks!
  • I was worried about how few Martinis I was getting from tapping gamblers, given that the Safari Casino requires 80 Martinis. I've reached Level 3 of Crafting. I have a Nero's Fountain, the Dupes sign and now 67 Martinis towards the 80.

My "strategy" was to play to lose at Cletus' Dice Den. I lost a lot! I have 300 purple tickets to prove it. These will convert into 3000 chips so I don't think that's so bad. I also won a lot with all those 400 chip payouts so got some donuts too. I only have 50 tokens left but should have another 50 by the start of Act Three.

With an added crafting currency in Act Three I think the chance of getting Martinis will be slightly less? Who knows.

And that's my tuppence worth. :D

I KNOW I can get club cards as I craft the other items, but I think it is mathematically impossible to reach the 6600 (or whatever the number is) needed to get the Black Diamond Tower, UNLESS the items I'll craft continue to earn club cards. (E.g., can I craft a LOT of those stars and get 50 club cards for each one? )

    Did that make any sense?

    Thanks :)

I got some Maths here for you Annette too, taken from the front page of this thread, I think it was Nedimaz who complied this, that basically says that over the three Acts, between crafting and Prize Track completion each event, it is possible to reach the final level of the Clubcard Prize Track as a freemium player! :)

    Players Clubcard Points
Thanks to nedimaz we now know that non-premium Players can get all the prizes for the Players Club Points Prize Track.

Based on information provided by LPNIta, nedimaz did a little bit of maths:

Required number of Players Club Points to reach Black Diamond Players Club Tower is: 6,660
Total number of points acquired with freemium items (act prizes, crafting) is: 7,490

(calculated only "first 4", "first 8", "first 2" where required)

So it look like we are totally safe, even if no premium items are bought. The rest of 3,590 points awarded by premium items will just help you to reach this goal sooner.
  • Sorry if this info is posted somewhere and I missed it, but does anyone know if there's a character job at Nero's palace? I just earned it this am and wanted to see its animation.

    Thanks!

Never mind- I figured out that it's Lou.
