- No need to be Nordic, down in Central and Southern Europe, the big family celebration is on Christmas Eve too: Big Dinner and Midnight Mass and Carols.
Merry Chrismas to All - Many families as well as groups of friends gather on Christmas Eve here in America. My partner and I are going to a couple's house l Christmas Eve to celebrate. I will be taking wine to mull along with a tray of meat, veggies, and cheeses. I won't be fretting over visiting neighbors or neighbors visiting me.
- I don't think any of us can be blamed for being AWOL the next few days. And personally New Years Eve will be problem for me. I plan on getting drunk.

Love it!- Merry Christmas. I believe that the American Christmas has evolved into a 2 day Holiday. (no we don't have boxing day but we may make return day a holiday also).
You visit one side of the family or Christmas eve and the other Christmas day HCoinslot wrote:
Most latin cultures place more emphasis on Christmas Eve (Noche Buena) than on Christmas Day.
Also, anyone who needs an explanation as to why a neighbor didn't show up for a day takes this game waaaaaay to seriously.
Agreed!
Unfortunately there are plenty of people who would get offended by that in this game.
I think it's kinda funny in a sad way.AzzaSophia wrote:
