don't know how micro it is, but in a way, money are collected off buildings, town design can change, new land can be unlocked, tasks can be completed, and resources can be made, stored and used
to me, it is no different to what we do in tsto,
- we collect money
- do tasks (tasks are triggered randomly and not via script, but the scripts are pre-defined and does not need network)
- generate resources (rail, and even bonus donghts)
- move buildings around and to build new ones
- purchase in-game items (with in game cash and in game premium currencies)
yes, Simcity will have a lot less objects but it can be turned 360, SimCity has a lot of random calculations based on the town you have and there are a lot of rules behind this.
both are EA games.... so it is interested how these are managed. Of course without network, it cannot make in-store purchases and neighbor visits will not be possible.
