Go to Krustyland. Tap a ticket, then come back. This happens for me each night at 12 midnight as well.

It depends on your phone/tablet. Some of them (usually the older ones) close apps you're not using right away. Some others will keep them around a lot longer, and you have to explicitly force close them from the applications menu or switcher.
