Update 2.20 A Dozen Donuts Free?

Same. My girlfriend updated and got her dozen, but when I did it...nothing. :(
  • Good news/bad news:

Okay so I was able to get my dozen donuts. I deleted the app from my iPhone and reinstalled it, which prompted the "Downloading Updates" on startup. Once my Springfield loads up, Homer and the free donut dialogue occurs.

    Great!

Then after a few minutes I exited the app and did whatever, and about a half-hour later decided to check in again and then the game tells me "Warning!" and that I need to log into my "other iDevice" to save the game or else I will lose any save data. Umm I don't have another iDevice...well I do, but I don't play Tapped Out on it, so I know it probably means itself from before I deleted/reinstalled.

I figure no big deal I'll just proceed anyways into the game, there couldn't be that much new data lost...

Oh yeah, the donuts. Even though that occurred AFTER the delete/reinstall...now it's pretending all that progress in short time between reinstall and checking into the game a half hour later all happened EXCEPT for the event of getting my donuts.

I'm back to pre-12 free donuts, though everything else saved correctly.

    Sigh...

Oh and I tried deleting/reinstalling again after this. Nope, no luck at all.
  • I updated and it took about a day or more before the dozen just showed up People need to be patient.
  • wow how nice haha I just got 10 donuts from my weekly box then I saw this thread, reinstalled the game and as soon as I pop'd in I had homer telling me ''I got a dozen for free time to get me a premium fence'' as a joke hah. and now I have 22 new donuts fresh from today ^^ Donuts appeared as soon as I launched the game for the first time after reinstalling..

Ok, I got the same device message, who else had this problem?
  • @RichieF69 yes. as long as youve been playing connected to a Origin account it will recognize your origin (or then ask for you to connect) and your town will be as it was when you uninstalled
  • Why won't EA just give a great working game with regular updates with new features? For the people who play the game waiting for mystery boxes each week, and dont use donuts to buy buildings and characters, but would like to, we never et donuts. He least they could do is give us 12, which still couldn't buy almost anything. And, the mystery boxes practically give you the same, cheap, useless item each time. I want a really good prize, like a building or character this time!

    Anyone know why?

try deleting the app. then reinstall. you wont lose data since its saved through origin
