update changed my preference and cost me two donuts
It's a fairly common glitch. It seems to occasionally reset after updates

Also note if you ever do a uninstall and reinstall of the app, this will also disable the donut confirm. While the uninstall/reinstall does resolve other issues, just make sure to also check that the donut confirm is turned back on.
