Update nuked my sign in?

The message that the other device did not save your game is caused by a number of things. If you play multiple towns on the same device, the game only caches your current playing town. When you log out and then log into the second town, the cached version does not match the version on the server. So, to allow you to go back in case it was a logout error, the message appears. Those of us who play multiple towns on the same device get this each and every switchover, and just continue. That causes the server version to be used.
If you quit the game without exiting, such as a device reboot then the game does not sync your current progress to the server. ( Sync happens on logout of origin, Krustland and friends transitions ) and the versions do not match.
I have also found the occasional server pushed or scheduled update, such as the current Gil deal will either log me out, or cause the other device message.
The sync issue is what happens when you get, for instance, more blueprints than needed at the rail yard and it doesn't register the track piece. Visiting friends or Krustyland forces a sync, and everything then matches up.

I have always gotten these two messages when I switch between towns/devices. Today's message was different. Only one and it said....." ANOTHER device has signed into your Springfield..." I wish I would have taken a pic. Maybe they've just changed the message, but I've never received this from a boot before, and only get the above messages ..always both, when switching, which I wasn't doing today.

@IckabodSchrek You still use the all seeing microwave??!!! Go with the toaster oven-should be next to the tweeter oven.

@IckabodSchrek I know the one you mean. It is different. I got it today right after the Gil deal came up. My town showed 0 donuts and 0 dollars, and could not save. Restarted my phone and all came up fine again. I have only seen that before when I forgot to sign out of one device and signed into the same account on a second. That message appeared on the first. Not sure why that happened today to either of us.....

I get the message about being signed into another device sometimes. It is usually when I switch between devices quickly. I have had to redo things when I get back in but it isn't much if an issue for me.

Update: uninstalled again and it gave the warning but I got logged in fine.... my hubby said it could be my phone... just updated to Android 7 so he may be on to something.
