Free - Guilded Truffle - think the animation when someone is tasking there is nice, and the cobblestone path around it is interesting/different.

Premium - Don't have one in my town yet, but hope to someday be able to afford the Community Center. I like how it looks and of course the fact that it would bring me Jasper.

I change mine all the time. But right now I would say:

Free-Sunsphere
Premium- Otto's school bus/Frink's lab (Two great premium characters)

Freemium - ermmmmmm...... let me go look at my Springfield and then decide. I'm back.... and can't decide because all my buildings look awesome......except for that future house. Don't like that one.

Premium - I've never paid donuts for a building before, however I do have some premium buildings from events.... only one I know I have that's now premium is the Bowlerama. If I could buy one it'd be Duff factory :)

I like Fort Sensible for the sound effect (It was free for wicking day) , otherwise Moe's with the rat running around on the roof

Frinks lab animation is good when someone is in it. I have to watch the cracker factory; can't recall any animation
