When Changes are Necessary

Hope EA read this post because I think it's important ...

As we are probably all aware, this event has brought out some very strong opinions from people enjoying it to people hating it. My opinion is towards the "meh" aspect - I enjoy it for the magical theme but am disappointed by the overall tone and lack of spookiness.
Now for the rest of the event what do we expect EA to do? They can only do nothing, right? Well, here's what I think ...

Apart from quickly fixing bugs and little errors EA almost never change events and I think this is a problem. Now I definitely don't mean just scrap the event and write a new one, I mean that EA should listen to people and make little changes that could spark enjoyment for some angry tappers.

Some people wanted murky water ... Give them murky water!
Some people wanted trick-or-treating ... Release the Nightmare Pile or somehow bring it back.
Some people find the rounded dark edges annoying ... Tone them down but add a spooky, dark overlay instead.
Some people wanted the Magic Monorail to have extra elements and give out event currency ... Add some items to make the monorail customisable and make it give out currency!

See what I mean? Little things like this will overall not turn a bad event good (not saying this is a bad event!) but owning up to little mistakes and trying to please people isn't a sign of cowardness - it shows that EA listen to people and want the best for people.

What I'm trying to say in this post (and will probably get misunderstood by someone!) is that EA should adapt to their mistakes, add some content, make some changes and know that this can be done without scrapping the event and whilst still looking professional.
Hope people understand and can see the point that I've made and can try and find something to enjoy in this event (I'm designing my nuked Springfield!) - have a great day and Happy Tapping :D
  • True. It's easily fixable. The Nightmare pile changing so that ALL kids can trick or treat would turn this into a Halloween event.

    That's the point.

Just using his logic against him.

Back on topic: Could be better as mentioned; but as someone said, it is an easy event. Not as dragging and laborious as other events so I'll take it as it is.

I just noticed that as the game ages, less items can be bought by in-game cash; and less exciting prizes. I can still feel my excitement during Whacking Day 2013 (see prizes).

Instead of making tons of post about this stuff, what would be better is a feedback thread at the top of the page that stays there for everyone to see at any point.

Sorry, didn't realise this particular post was like anything that had already been posted. Wanted to post something helpful to EA without the use of unexplainable hatred towards the event :D

    Nah, you're fine, Happy.
I think it's easier to ignore a couple of threads, even if they're long ones, than ignoring multiple threads.
Getting EA's attention sounds like half the battle.

Please do not make the screen darker! I don't know if it was the update to iOS 11, but I had to turn up the brightness on my iPad because it was so dark it was giving me eye strain trying to see things.
I would like to see some Trick or Treating though. Plenty of idle characters to do it with. Even if it's just a side quest that doesn't have anything to do with the main event.

    uh? it's the event

If EA really wanted to scare people they would do a fake nuking of one's town. I'd love to see the reaction on people's faces when they watch the "Yes" on the nuke confirmation boxes be automatically tapped.

I always thought that would be a great April Fools Day joke >:)

"I think people are building their hopes to high with the what do you want to see threads." -Agree

So in all the undivided anger I can say... Don't expect anything but appreciate what is given. If you can't do that then simply don't play... Or try and constantly bash a event someone else may really enjoy (Pride, Pagan Winter, Halloween 2017)

    To each his own.

To quote you, if you can't respect other's opinion, then don't come to a thread that is critiquing the event; might as well just go to the thread praising the event. Simple as that.

I can respect someone’s opinion without necessarily agreeing with it,

    I can't :D
    I am kidding...
