Buying multiples of the houses available is an integral part (for those who spend little to no money on the game) of obtaining a five star rating. As you reach a higher level, you will eventually need more houses to uphold that rating.
A good idea is to make double or even triple houses, like so:
Ah see the difference is yours looks quite good and there's only three of the same house and it's decorated nicely, I have seen some where it's just hundreds of brown houses all dumped together no decoration, doesn't look nice at all. I can understand those who buy multiple houses and decorate as it looks nice, it's why you have decorations, might as well use them. No need to buy them just wait for the mystery box and get free trees and fences lol Nightmare3102 wrote:

This is so lovely :-) ! I love these planters, they should be one of the mysery box's prizes ! I don't buy many donuts so I tend to save them for update items, but perhaps I should invest on them, they really add a special touch. I love the triple white houses, I have placed two together, but this looks even better ! Well done ! :thumbup:Jay_Kay_4747 wrote:

I think that's an awesome idea....never thought grouping houses like that. :thumbup:XxTheNicksterxX wrote:
I am just wondering who here actually tries to make their Springfield look like a real town? I have friends who have 20 of the same house crammed together in one spot and the rest of their buildings do not have any roads/sidewalks leading to them. It looks like a 2 year old just started placing things randomly and does know what the heck they are doing. One the other hand I have other friends that put consideration into what their Springfield looks like and for that I give them a congradualtions for not having the mind of a 2 year old who doesnt know what they are doing. What is the point of playing if you're just throwing things together and making it look worse then what it did after Homer let the plant have a melt down? I don't know. Maybe it's my OCD talking but still. I dont see the point. And it you are a two year old who doesn't know what they are doing, I understand. I have a kindle so I dont know how to take a screen shot of my Springfield to show everyone. Sorry.
I agree that house farming is unattractive and I have dropped neighbors that do it to an extreme, but on the flip side, I can see why it's done. However, I have seen many don't stop farming once they level up as far as they can go. I have a couple of neighbors that do house farming in an organized fashion. They actually place the houses on streets and not row after row with nothing in between. After all, we all had to start from scratch and some people just have more patience than others. I just bought land and built the town as I went.- I try to keep my town looking like a town, most of it does but some got cluttered along the way, I'm working on trying to fix that
