Why are Hearts Limited per day?
Probably to avoid "friends laundering", i.e. when you visit 100 friends, then delete them, then add 100 new friends. Rinse and repeat.

Absolutely ... the limit actually gives you exactly 100 friends worth of hearts to collect every 24 hours, so there isn't really a limit at all, unless you are chopping and changing friends.
