Why did EA forget about updating krustyland?
Well, there's only so much to Krustyland... I'd rather them be true to the show than start inventing things for the sake of updates.

If EA does offer the Monorail, I truly hope they don't waste it by putting it in Krustyland. I almost never go to Krustyland, and I wouldn't start going there regularly again just because a Monorail has been added. It'd just be one more thing to be tucked away and never seen.
