Why isn't there a confirm donut purchase?

I don't know how many donuts I have WASTED with speeding up jobs and taxes on houses. Do I really need to speed up Mayor Quimby writing his book on ethics, in the middle of this Halloween update (right after I got those six donut for having Mr. Burns confess)?
Brown House taxes...yup spend donuts on that...same for white house.

I would love to know how many donuts I've wasted, it is probably close to 30 to 40 donuts, ugh!

My request to the developers is to have another pop-up asking, "Are you sure you want to make this purchase?"
Heck no!

Just my two cents.

You can have the game confirm your donut purchase. Just click on the button as if you were going to buy something and then click on the "i" beside the movie camera image. You can now click "yes" to confirm donut purchases. I did it on my game and it really works.
  • There has been a "Confirm Donut Spend" for quite some time actually- since the Whacking Day Event back in April (aka half a year)!!!

Just go to any build/store/inventory menu and tap on the little "i" in the upper right corner. This brings up a Settings menu and one of the options there is "Confirm Donut Spend". Make sure the box next to it is checked to turn it on.

Afterwards, whenever you make a donut purchase (store or speeding up) a window will pop up that says "Are you sure you want to spend XX donuts?".

One thing to be aware of, though, is that you'll want to check to make the "Confirm Donut Spend" option is checked whenever there is an app store update, because it has a tendency to be turned back off when there is an update (since that is its default setting).

I have never noticed that before!
You are a money saver, my friend!

You're most welcome! I'm glad to help a fellow Simpsons fan save some donuts! We certainly need to save them for those premium items:)

It's not hard to believe that you missed it, they make the button so easy to miss with how small the "i" is. Is this intentional on EA's part? It makes you wonder.

Maybe they're a newer player who didn't notice the little "i" before. They came on the forum to inquire, and got a very helpful answer. I wouldn't call them dumb for not knowing how something in the game works.
  • We have had this feature since Whacking day and IMO its probably the best fix/feature we have had

Thank god for this thread, I had no idea there was a confirm button hidden away in options.
I accidentally wasted two donuts recently speeding up a brown house of all things, I totally panicked/flailed and somehow couldn't hit the cancel button in time. :x

There's a 100 more threads just like this one lol
